Golden Schools Foundation sat down recently with Bridget Jones, Principal of Bell Middle School, to discuss the ongoing success of the iSTEM program and how the program has grown over the four years since it began.
Since it’s inception, the iSTEM program has grown every year. Currently there is no limit on the number of 6th-8th grade students who can participate in the program. Additionally, students can choose to opt into the program at any grade level.
Bell’s plan is to grow the program to accommodate the need of the students, however, not all students are STEM students. Bell has a very strong Honors program, as well as, a strong general curriculum program. So iSTEM is just one offering for students that adds to the overall educational experience at Bell.
